Terms of service

1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account or using MailOK's email verification services you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. The service

MailOK verifies email addresses: syntax, domain and MX checks, disposable, role and catch-all detection, and an SMTP conversation with the receiving mail server. Results are valid, invalid, risky or unknown. The service is provided through the web app and, when available, an API.

3. Your account

You must give accurate information when you register and keep your credentials confidential. You are responsible for everything done with your account.

4. Acceptable use

Use MailOK only for lawful purposes. You may not:

  • use the service to send spam or unsolicited email;
  • verify addresses you have no lawful basis to process;
  • circumvent rate limits, bot checks or abuse the API;
  • resell or redistribute the service without written permission;
  • use the service in breach of any applicable law.

5. Credits and billing

The service works on credits: one credit per verified address with a valid, invalid or risky result. Unknown results and duplicates inside a list are not charged. Pay-as-you-go credits do not expire. Monthly plan credits reset on each billing date, except where a plan explicitly carries unused credits over. Redeem codes grant credits under the conditions stated with the code. Payments are processed by Stripe. Except where the law requires otherwise, payments are not refundable.

6. Plan changes and cancellation

You can change or cancel a monthly plan from your dashboard. Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades and cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period.

7. Availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may change, suspend or discontinue features with reasonable notice.

8. Results and liability

Verification results are provided on a best-effort basis; mail servers can answer inconsistently. MailOK is not liable for damages arising from inaccurate results, service interruptions or your reliance on the service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the preceding twelve months.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms. You can delete your account at any time from the settings page; remaining credits are forfeited.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will announce significant changes by email or in the service; continued use after a change means you accept it.
